USB TYPE C High Speed UART

Description

The Hi-Speed Type C USB to UART cables provide an easy way to connect a device which has a UART using 3.3V logic levels (such as a Microcontroller) to a computer over USB.

The Type-C USB connector allows direct connection to the latest computers featuring Type C ports without requiring adapters.

The integrated FT232H IC handles all of the USB signaling and protocols, using the FTDI Virtual COM Port or D2XX drivers on the host computer side, making the cable very easy to set up and use.

The UART end of the 1.8m cable has ten single-pole female receptacles. These provide TxD, RxD, RTS#, CTS#, DTR#, DSR#, DCD# and RI# signals as well as GND and VCC.

The cable uses UART signaling with +3.3V logic-level signals at up to 12Mbaud. The VCC wire provides 3.3V DC or 5V DC (depending on the model) allowing external circuits to be powered.
